Hello! Thank you for visiting.
I'm Kezia, a researcher, consultant and horse trainer.
I have been around horses since 199-oh, that's quite a while.
I have been working with & training horses since 2008.
I have been studying psychology, social cognition, and interspecies interactions since 2012.
I have been researching & consulting with Equine Assisted Services since 2019.
I have been presenting at Equine Assisted Services conferences & workshops since 2021.
I have been teaching horsemanship clinics since 2023.
And throughout all of this - I've been asking questions:
What actually happens when a human and a horse interact?
How do they each communicate?
What is the impact of those interactions?
These questions have followed me through my practical work with horses, into my research and consulting where I evaluate the impact of Equine Assisted Services for vulnerable individuals and families, and back into my horsemanship teaching, where I take a relationship-based approach to smoothing out communication challenges between horses and their people.
Outside of horses and psychology, I can be found rock climbing, wild swimming, trying out newly written material at London gigs and was previously a member of Chickenshed - an inclusive theatre company which has played a strong role in shaping my work today, and my worldview.
